ARBITRATION
The following are among several selected cases solicitor David Wyld has handled in arbitration, litigation and mediation.

- Jurisdictions: Shari’ah Law and English Law
- Acting for Saudi Arabian clients in an inheritance dispute which was referred firstly to a Shari’ah Council and subsequently obtaining a declaration from the Commercial Court in London that the judgment of the Shari’ah Council did not amount to an arbitration or other award enforceable in the English Courts.

- Acting for an Indian client company in a joint venture dispute which, following a stay of High Court proceedings in Bombay, was referred to UNCITRAL arbitration in London. Subsequently assisting in further litigation to enforce the award.

- Acting for foreign clients in proceedings brought by a US company for fraud and breach of trust, involving complex proceedings in other jurisdictions arising out of World Wide Freezing Orders.

- Resolution of disputes between a Californian disc drive manufacturer and a European computer company, including assistance in relation to insurance coverage litigation in the United States.

- Injunction proceedings on behalf of an Eastern European Central Bank against a Pacific based Investment Bank in relation to claims to enforce on their original terms the postponed rights under Sovereign Debt documentation.

- Acting for an Indian Bank in tracing and constructing trust claims against a Middle Eastern entity arising out of fraudulent metal contracts; including assisting in relation to the position of the Bank under its insurance protection by the Indian Government.

- Obtaining a resolution through mediation of a dispute for a private overseas client in a claim against a firm of London stockbrokers arising from investment mismanagement.
